I Switched From Dentistry to Accounting

When I started writing this post, the first title name that came into my mind was night changes. I thought it would fit perfectly. However, it is not conveying what I intended as well as this title now so I changed.

The first time I stumbled upon that song I fell in love with it immediately. However, as much as I'd like to talk about this song whole day there is some news more important that I have to break to you.

A decision that seems rushed and hasty, a mind that makes up in time deemed short, a letter that takes two difficult weeks to get through, a week that is full of love and hate.

One simplified summary of the period of change that impacts a lot on my future because....

eden hutton lane penang review

According to my dad, there was once a saying back in the days: you have not truly been to Penang if you have not tried Eden. Well, guess I've finally TRULY been to Penang after so many trips there. First off, I'm sure some of you are confused about the empty shop despite the two hour wait I mentioned in my previous post. Waited for two hours for an empty restaurant? What's happening?

Well, it goes like this:

Garage 51 review

Hooray! Internet! I've never been so happy to see that 5 bars on the bottom right of my desktop all lit up and without the warning sign because I'm dying to share with you after a lovely dinner at Garage 51 (Click to find out more about the cafe!).

First thing first, I love the environment. On my way walking into the cafe, I found chairs made of Pennzoil oil cans in various colours. Deeply awed by it's unique furniture, my heart willingly gave up its space when I discovered the high ceiling interior of the cafe. After being seated by the waitress, I looked around and found out they have lamps shaped like the chemical bonds. Time to eat. :P

How I Planned My Trip to Taiwan

Let's travel to Taiwan!

The day we arrived late at night at Taipei Tao Yuan International Airport and headed straight to Bouti City Capsule Inn to sleep.

We were supposed to first take a trip to Jiufen and head down to Shifen before we visit Ximending at night. Seeing the sky clear and fearing that it might rain the next day and ruin my plan to visit Yehliu Geopark, we made the RIGHT decision (because it really was raining on Day 2, how lucky) to instead travel to the geopark.

After getting our bearings right from the hotel receptionist, we walked our way to the main bus station (which happens to be located just a stone-throw away from the inn). The bus ticket costed TWD90 per person but if you're using the EasyCard, which I highly recommend you obtain one if you're staying in Taiwan for more than a week and are travelling extensively by public transport. Why? To get the card, you will need pay a non-refundable NTD100 deposit. This deposit can be compensated (and give you extra savings!) if you travel extensively by public transport for some time in Taiwan because they give you a benefit of a 20% discount (Taipei only) compared to others who pay cash or buy tickets at the counter.

You might ask, what if I travel to other places of Taiwan?

ICAEW Story: ICAEW In Short

ICAEW at Sunway

For those of you who have only clicked in for the first time, right now I'm studying ICAEW at Sunway College. It is a professional accounting programme similar to ACCA (which is also equivalent to an accounting degree) with slightly different examination format and course structure. It used to be the MOST prestigious accounting programme (chartered mah) available only in the UK until Sunway College obtained the qualification to teach in Malaysia.
